Organizing wedding tables with AI

Published 16 June 2026

The seating plan is the most stressful part of planning: families to balance, relatives to keep apart, kids, allergies. Here's how an AI assistant does in 2 minutes what usually costs whole evenings — with you always making the call.

Why seating is the number-one stress

Almost every couple tells it the same way: the seating plan is the part that keeps them up at night. It isn't a matter of taste, it's a puzzle of constraints: who can't sit near whom, families not to split, exes, children, guests who need an easy spot near the exit.

Done by hand, every small change forces you to redo everything. Move one person and another one is bumped: that's where the frustration starts.

How the AI assistant works

The idea is simple: instead of dragging names for hours, you describe what you want in words. Type — or dictate by voice — a command like “seat everyone, the couple in the centre, families apart”, and the assistant builds the plan by reading your confirmed guests and the constraints you set.

Each follow-up command works on the current plan: “move Marco to table 3”, “keep colleagues together”, “redo it keeping kids near their parents”. Nothing is final: there's always undo.

Give the right constraints: families, exes, kids, allergies

The quality of the plan depends on the constraints you give. You can say who to keep together and who to keep apart, the max families per table, where to place guests who need accessibility.

Allergies and intolerances already come from the replies: if you collect RSVPs automatically, the assistant knows them and you can export a per-table diet summary for the caterer.

For children, you decide: all at a dedicated table or near their parents. If instead you've chosen an adults-only party, the guide on how to tell your guests helps you say it gracefully.

Themed table names

Beyond seating guests, the assistant suggests themed names that match your style: Italian cities, films, favourite places, trips you've taken together. A touch that makes the seating chart part of the story, not just a list.

Manual control, languages and privacy

The AI proposes, you always decide: every table stays editable by hand, dragging guests as you like. The assistant is an accelerator, not an automation that takes away control.

And just like the rest of the invite — where each guest gets everything in their own language — the commands work in any of the templates' languages.

On privacy: your guests' data stays yours and is not used to train models. The first layouts are free; for heavy use there's a dedicated AI plan.
