Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern the use of Sponsalia and the purchase of an invitation’s publication. By using the service or making a purchase you fully accept these Terms. The service provider is Stefano Frediani (“Sponsalia”, “we”). Please read them carefully and keep a copy.

1. Definitions

  • “Service”: the Sponsalia platform for creating, publishing and managing digital wedding invitations.
  • “Customer” / “you”: the person who creates an account and purchases the publication of an invite.
  • “Guest”: the person who receives the invite and may submit their RSVP.
  • “Content”: texts, names, dates, guest list and any other data entered by the Customer.

2. The service

Sponsalia lets you create a digital wedding invitation from predefined design templates, customize its texts, publish it online and collect your guests’ RSVPs through a dedicated dashboard.

The service is digital only: there are no printed items, no app to install and no physical delivery. The invite is shared through a link generated by the platform.

3. Eligibility and account

To use the service you must be at least 18 and create an account with true, complete and up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for any activity carried out through your account.

Authentication is handled through an external provider (Clerk). You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Price, payment and receipt

Creating and customizing the invite is free. Publishing requires a one-time payment of €89. There are no subscriptions or recurring costs.

Prices are in euro and inclusive of applicable taxes. After payment you receive a supporting document in accordance with applicable law.

Payment is handled by our external provider (Stripe). Sponsalia does not process or store your card details.

5. Free preview

Before paying, you can see a full, free preview of the invite, so you can decide with full awareness whether to proceed to publication. Please check all content in the preview before publishing.

6. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you act as a consumer you generally have the right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason.

However, the service provides digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. At purchase you are asked to give express consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that, once the invite is published, you lose the right of withdrawal under Art. 59(1)(o) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005).

If publication has not yet occurred, or for any issue, you can contact us at info@sponsalia.app: we will consider your request in good faith.

7. Customer obligations and acceptable use

You agree to use the service lawfully and not to:

  • enter unlawful, defamatory, offensive content or content that infringes the rights of others;
  • infringe third parties’ intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • attempt unauthorized access to the systems, circumvent security measures or overload the infrastructure;
  • use the service for purposes other than creating a personal wedding invitation.

By entering third-party data (e.g. the guest list) you declare that you have the right to process it. For that data the Customer acts as data controller and Sponsalia as technical provider (processor): see the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The platform, design templates, software, trademarks and design elements of Sponsalia are owned by us or our respective licensors and are protected by law. With your purchase you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the published invite for your event.

You remain the owner of the Content you enter. You grant us a limited licence to host, reproduce and display it solely to provide the service (publishing and managing the invite).

9. Service availability and publication period

We undertake to keep the invite published online for a reasonable period linked to your event. The invite and its data remain available while your account or invite is active and may be removed at your request or after a prolonged period of inactivity; in that case you will receive prior notice at the associated email address.

We may carry out scheduled maintenance or urgent interventions that cause brief service interruptions.

10. Warranties and limitation of liability

We strive to offer a working, well-crafted service, but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the service and excludes indirect or consequential damages. We are not liable for failures of external providers (e.g. hosting, authentication, payments) or for events of force majeure beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including consumers’ mandatory statutory rights.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close the account in case of breach of these Terms or unlawful use of the service, with prior notice where possible.

You can request closure of your account and deletion of your data at any time by writing to info@sponsalia.app.

12. Changes to the Terms and the service

We may update these Terms for technical, legal or service reasons. The version published on this page, with its date, is the one in force; purchases remain governed by the Terms in force at the time of purchase.

13. Complaints and dispute resolution

For any complaint you can write to us at info@sponsalia.app: we will try to resolve the matter quickly and amicably.

As a consumer, you may also use the European online dispute resolution (ODR) platform available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. For consumer relationships, the mandatory jurisdiction of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile applies; otherwise, the courts of the provider’s place of establishment have jurisdiction.

15. Contact

For any question about these Terms you can write to info@sponsalia.app.
